Our Work
Teach self-defense to those at risk of being exploited, abused, trafficked or enslaved
Self-Defense Courses
Kathmandu
SpringHeart directly teaches Self-Defense courses, free of charge, in Kathmandu, Nepal. Six days a week we conduct five, one-hour classes; four at government (public) schools, and one at the Kapan Wushu Hall. An average total of 80 students attend each day.
Pushing for Peace Ambassador
Nepal
SpringHeart is the Official Ambassador for Pushing for Peace in Nepal (see "Partners" section). We teach the Peace Games at Workshops in Nepal and welcome and facilitate other Peace Games Ambassadors to teach here as well. The Peace Games are integrated into the curriculum of our daily classes where we are training the next generation of Peace Game Ambassadors.
What We Do
Teach self-defense to those at risk of being exploited, abused, trafficked or enslaved by working together with communities of martial artists.
Mission:
Work together with communities of martial artists to teach self-defense to those at risk of being exploited, abused, trafficked or enslaved. Empower with mental, emotional, social, verbal and physical strategies to prevent abuse of any type.
1. Mentally, by raising awareness of dangerous situations and people, and identifying
mental manipulation.
2. Emotionally, by inspiring confidence and positive attitudes, and identifying
emotional manipulation.
3. Physically, by teaching martial arts.
4. Verbally, by emphasizing how words can protect.
5. Socially, by strengthening ties in the community to help prevent physical
or emotional isolation.
Our Principles:
HUMANITY
SpringHeart must always operate in a way that ensures respect for every human being. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and a lasting just peace amongst all peoples.
INDEPENDENCE
SpringHeart, while subject to the laws of the respective countries it operates in, must always maintain its autonomy so that it may be able to act, at all times, in accordance with SpringHeart principles.
VOLUNTARY
SpringHeart is a voluntary movement not motivated in any manner by desire for gain.
UNITY
SpringHeart is Interdenominational. We welcome Martial Artists from all systems and styles to unify against Human Trafficking, slavery, abuse and exploitation.

Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law,
Whereas it is essential to promote the development of friendly relations between nations…”
